How to patch a tube

How to lube your chain

Details

  • Remove the tube from the rim using tyre levers (plastic)
  • Inflate the tube and submerge in a bucket/tub of water to find where the air is leaking (you will see tiny air bubbles coming out of the tube)
  • Dry the area around the puncture
  • Use the metal rasp or sandpaper to buff the area around the puncture and wipe of remaining residue
  • Apply the rubber solution to an area slightly bigger than the size of the patch and allow to dry fully
  • Remove the foil part from the patch then apply and press down on the puncture for about 30 seconds
  • Check inside of tyre for any thorns or sharp objects and remove before re-inserting tube
